CareDial does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Everything stays on the device.
Contact names, phone numbers, and photos live only on the iPhone. There is no server, there are no accounts, and the app makes no network connections. Calls are handed to the built-in iOS Phone app.
- No collectionof names, contacts, photos, location, usage, or identifiers.
- No third parties— no analytics, ad networks, or crash-reporting SDKs, and no tracking.
- No sale or sharing— there is no data to sell or share.
- SOS callsthe contact you designated, never 911 or an emergency dispatch center.
What CareDial Stores, and Where
CareDial Photo Phone (the “App”) is published by Neon Summit LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It is a calm, large-photo dialer for older adults and their family caregivers. This policy describes version 1.0 of the iOS app.
The App keeps two kinds of information, and both stay on the device:
- Contacts you add — the name, phone number, and photo for each contact — are stored only in the App’s private storage on the iPhone.
- App preferences — such as your theme, text size, whether a Lock Mode PIN is set, and whether onboarding was completed — are stored only on the device. A Lock Mode PIN is held in the iOS Keychain.
What CareDial Does Not Do
Because CareDial keeps everything on the device, there is simply nothing to collect. Specifically, the App does not:
- Collect names, contacts, photos, location, usage data, or device identifiers.
- Include third-party SDKs — there are no analytics, no advertising networks, and no crash-reporting services.
- Track you as defined by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
- Sell or share your data — there is no data to sell or share.
Phone Calls
When you confirm a call in CareDial, the App hands the number to the built-in iOS Phone app, which places the call. Calls are carried by your phone service, not by CareDial.
CareDial does not record, monitor, or log the content of calls. Call quality, connection, billing, and call history are handled by Apple, your device, and your carrier.
SOS and the Emergency Contact
SOS uses the same iOS Phone app as any other call in CareDial. The App is not an emergency service, a medical device, a monitoring service, a fall detector, or a location tracker. It does not send your location to Neon Summit LLC or notify anyone on its own.
Photos
If you choose a photo for a contact, iOS shows a system photo picker. CareDial receives only the single photo you select and keeps it on the device. The App never has access to your whole photo library.
Children's Privacy
CareDial is designed for older adults and their family caregivers. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you set the App up for another person, you are responsible for having appropriate permission to enter their contacts, photos, and phone numbers.
Future Features
If a future version adds optional family or caregiver sync features that move contact data off the device, this policy will be updated first, the App will describe the change clearly before anything is shared, and any such feature will be opt-in.
